Trio SOKA 867700231 ceiling spotlight, matt white, 2×GU10

Trio SOKA 867700231 is a two-head metal spotlight in a matt white finish. Its cylindrical heads have lengthwise grooves, contrasting with the smooth rectangular mounting base. Both GU10 bulbs must be purchased separately: the fitting does not come with light sources, despite the illuminated product photographs.

Plan two distinct pools of light

This is a directional fitting rather than a ceiling panel with a continuous glowing surface. Two separate heads let you distribute light between different parts of a room. When choosing bulbs, compare their beam angles as well as their brightness. The beam angle and the position of each head determine how broad the illuminated areas will be. The result is different from the diffuse effect of a large opal shade.

Each socket takes a GU10 bulb rated at no more than 10 W. The manufacturer recommends LED bulbs. Brightness, colour temperature and colour rendering depend on the bulbs you select, so they can be coordinated with other lighting in the room. The empty fitting itself does not have a fixed warm-white colour or a specified luminous output.

Check the space around the mounting point

The fitting measures 30 cm wide, 14.5 cm high and 9 cm deep. For ceiling installation, compare its height with the clearance above nearby doors and tall furniture. Each shade is 8 cm high and 5.5 cm in diameter, giving a more useful sense of scale than the overall width alone.

The manufacturer permits both wall and ceiling mounting. The installation drawing specifies a 230 V supply and a protective earth connection. Choose the mounting position and arrange the electrical connection according to the instructions rather than relying solely on the product photograph.

A textured detail for contemporary interiors

The straight base and grooved cylinders suit modern interiors. SOKA can provide directional lighting in a hallway, kitchen, living room, bedroom or working area. In a larger room, plan it alongside other lighting rather than assuming that two spotlights will illuminate the entire space on their own.
