ARALIA 10527 is a wall light with a milky-white glass globe shade and a slim horizontal bar of brass-plated steel set on a round wall plate. The globe sits right against the bar, which gives the whole fitting a compact, geometric form. The manufacturer's photos show it in two positions β with the globe above the bar and below it.
Size and mounting
The bar is 25 cm long, the wall light is 19 cm high and projects 18 cm from the wall, and the shade is 12 cm in diameter. Those 18 cm are worth checking against the spot where it will hang β in a narrow hallway or next to a door, the projection is what decides.
The fitting is fixed to the wall on a mounting bracket, and the mounting kit is in the box together with the shade and instructions. It is a protection class I luminaire, so an earth conductor has to be present at the wall box.
Which light source
The wall light has one G9 lampholder and takes an LED bulb of up to 10 W β the manufacturer allows LED sources only, not halogen. No bulb is included, so you choose the colour and brightness of the light yourself; the opal glass diffuses the light, so the bulb itself is not visible.
Where it works
IP44 means protection against splashing water, so the fitting is also suitable for a bathroom, for example above a mirror; the manufacturer intends it for indoor use only. The manufacturer describes the style as modern: a plain globe, a straight rod and an undecorated plate. It suits a living room, bedroom, hallway, kitchen or dining room, as well as an office, study, hotel or restaurant.
