CERAMIC LED is a wall light with a round backplate and a horizontal arm in a brass colour, carrying a smoked brown element and a white opal shade of vase-like shape at its end. The materials are glass and ceramic. The LEDs are permanently built in, so the fitting lights as soon as it is connected.
Size and mounting
The fitting is 25 cm high and stands 22 cm off the wall — the second figure is worth comparing with the width of the passage beside the mounting spot, because the light takes a full 22 cm out of it. It weighs 0.75 kg.
It is mounted on a fixing bridge, and the manufacturer packs the mounting kit together with the instructions. The fitting is protection class I, so an earth conductor has to reach the box. The manufacturer intends it for indoor use only.
How much light it gives, and what kind
The built-in LEDs deliver 650 lumens at 8 W of power draw — a little under a former 60 W bulb, which is the level needed for supplementary light beside a sofa or at a table rather than for lighting a whole room.
3000 K is a warm white close to a traditional incandescent bulb, and the 360° beam angle, together with the opal shade, spreads light all round the fitting instead of aiming it one way. A colour rendering index above 80 is enough for living spaces.
Light source
The LEDs are integrated and cannot be replaced — once the stated 25 000 hours are used up, the whole fitting is replaced. In exchange, no bulb has to be bought and no light colour chosen. The lamp runs on 220–230 V.
Which interior it suits
The manufacturer describes the style as art deco — the brass against smoked glass and the rounded body of the shade are what make it so. It is intended for living rooms and dining rooms, and for hotel and restaurant interiors.
