Bradbury is a flush ceiling light by Quoizel, distributed by Elstead Lighting, for two E27 lamps. Twisted, ribbon-like ribs run beneath a shallow steel dish at the ceiling, forming an open cage around the exposed lamps. The steel is finished in Antique White, with brownish rubbed edges that give the fitting an aged look.
Size and mounting
The light is 33 cm across and only 13.9 cm tall, because it sits directly against the ceiling. That makes it suited to places where a pendant would take up headroom, such as a lower ceiling. It weighs 1.35 kg. It is Class I, which means it must be connected with a protective earth conductor.
Lamps
The fitting takes two E27 lamps of up to 60 W each and runs on 230 V mains. Lamps are not included. Because the open frame does not hide the lamps, their shape is on show — the manufacturer recommends a clear LED E27 lamp in the classic A60 shape, sold separately. The fitting is compatible with dimmable lamps, so with a dimmer and dimmable lamps the brightness can be lowered, for example in a bedroom in the evening.
Style and the Bradbury family
The fluted steel frame and the pale, aged finish give the fitting a classic character. The manufacturer specifies it for interiors, and it suits a bedroom or a dining room. The Bradbury family also includes a two-light wall light, a four-light pendant and a five-light chandelier — each in Antique White or Grey Ash — so several rooms can be fitted out from one range.
