Chateau is a two-arm wall light by Feiss (Generation Lighting), distributed by Elstead Lighting. The steel frame carries the Mocha Bronze finish — a dark, warm bronze with rust and gold tones. The round wall plate is decorated with scrolls and a central rosette, and teardrop crystals of cut K9 glass hang from the arms and the lower loop.
Size and installation
The wall light is 29.8 cm high and 22.9 cm wide, and projects 11.4 cm from the wall. That shallow depth matters in a narrow hallway, where a fitting should not reach into the walkway. When a pair flanks a mirror or a bed, the 22.9 cm width is the figure to compare with the space left on either side.
It weighs 3.78 kg, which is heavy for a wall light — on a plasterboard wall this needs to be taken into account when choosing the fixings. It is Class I, so it must be connected to the protective earth.
Light sources
The fitting takes two E14 bulbs of up to 60 W each. Bulbs are not included. The lampholders sit in cream candle sleeves and the bulb itself stays visible — the manufacturer's photos show clear flame-shaped bulbs. You choose the colour and brightness yourself; for soft evening light most people pick 2700 K, a warm, slightly yellow light.
The fitting is compatible with dimmable bulbs: dimming needs a dimmer and bulbs marked as dimmable.
Style and series
The manufacturer cites European castles and stately homes as the inspiration, which shows in the scrolls, candle arms and crystal drops — a classic, palatial character. It suits a dining room, living room, bedroom or hallway. The Chateau series also includes a four-arm chandelier in the same finish, so the wall lights can be paired with the main light of a dining or living room.
