Hellux Colorato 4113529 table lamp, white and light blue, E27

Hellux Colorato 4113529 is a table lamp with a birchwood base divided into white and light-blue sections. Its rectangular white cotton shade continues the straight-edged outline. Rather than relying on a printed children's motif, the design uses simple blocks and a distinct band of colour.

Allow space for the whole lamp

The lamp measures 27 cm high, 20 cm long and 20 cm wide. Compare these dimensions with the space available on a bedside table or desk, taking the shade into account as well as the base. The smaller base visible in the photograph is not the full outline to plan around. On a child's desk, allow room alongside it for a book and stationery. By a bed, consider whether other objects would obstruct access to the switch.

Choose the light through an E27 bulb

Colorato has one E27 socket for a bulb rated at no more than 60 W. This is the permitted bulb power, not a fixed consumption figure for the lamp. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulb you choose. A white shade does not by itself specify a warm or cool light, so compare the bulb's own specifications when deciding how the lamp will be used.

The supply voltage is 230 V. A switch is fitted to the white cord and is visible in the manufacturer's product photograph. Position the lamp with access to both the socket and this control in mind.

Light blue with restrained geometry

Hellux describes use in a child's room and also lists the living room. Colorato can serve as a bedside lamp or supplementary desk lighting. Its straight contours and limited colour palette suit modern and minimalist interiors. Light blue is concentrated on the lower section of the base, while the upper section and shade remain white. The manufacturer permits wiping the cotton shade with a dry or damp cloth; that instruction does not establish that it can be washed.
