The Endon Daley 73018 pairs a circular wall plate with a straight arm and a cylindrical fabric shade. Its steel structure has a dark antique bronze plated finish. The pale faux-silk fabric is called Marble by the manufacturer; this is a shade colour, not a claim that the lamp contains stone.
Allow for the projection
The complete fitting measures 20 cm high and 15 cm wide, with a 23 cm projection from the wall. Consider that projection when locating the electrical outlet: the shade occupies space in front of the wall rather than sitting flush against it. Compare the measurement with a headboard, adjacent furniture and the route people take through the room.
The straight arm and round plate give the fitting a restrained modern shape, while the textile shade and antique finish also work with modern-classic interiors. It can be used as supplementary lighting in a living room, bedroom or dining area, or in a planned hotel or restaurant lighting scheme. Its shaded format is different from a directional task spotlight.
Choose the bulb separately
There is one E14 lampholder. Current manufacturer documentation specifies a 7 W LED bulb, which is not supplied. The bulb you buy determines the light colour and output; the illuminated photographs do not establish a built-in colour temperature or a fixed lumen value.
A toggle switch on the wall plate provides local on/off control. The manufacturer lists the fitting as dimmable, which calls for a suitable dimmable bulb and compatible dimmer. The toggle switch itself does not adjust brightness.
Connection and care
Daley is a hardwired wall fitting, not a plug-in lamp. Its Class I construction requires an earth connection. The installation manual excludes bathroom use. Disconnect the power before cleaning or replacing the bulb and allow ten minutes for cooling. The manufacturer specifies a dry cloth only, with no liquid or abrasive cleaners.
