Lillehammer DC2290AL outdoor wall light, light grey, 24 V DC, LED 7.2 W 2700 K up/down NORLYS

Lillehammer DC2290AL is an outdoor wall light in a plain rectangular box of cast aluminium, powder-coated in light grey RAL 9006. It lights in two directions: a narrow 4° beam on one side and a wide 60° beam on the other. The luminaire runs on 24 V DC and needs a separate power supply.

How it lights

Two 3.6 W LED modules give 7.2 W in total and light at 2700 K, warm and slightly yellow. The body can be mounted with the narrow beam up and the wide one down, or the other way round: the 4° beam draws a thin, tall stripe of light on the wall, while the 60° side fans out and lights the render or cladding around the fitting. Half of the flux goes upwards (ULOR 50%), so this is a light for washing facades and walls, not for lighting a path.

The luminaire emits 131 lm from 1024 lm of module flux — an accent level that brings out the shape of the building. The modules are dimming-ready; whether and how the fitting dims depends on the power supply chosen and the installation design.

Power and installation

It needs an external constant-voltage 24 V DC power supply, which is not included. Protection class III means it runs on safety extra-low voltage — several fittings on one line can share one supply of adequate power. The terminals take conductors up to 2 × 2.5 mm², or 2 × 1.5 mm² when looped through, and the gland a cable of 7–10.5 mm.

The body is 18.5 cm tall and 8 cm wide, and projects 11 cm from the wall. It weighs 1.7 kg and is fixed with two screws through ø5 mm holes spaced 45 × 130 mm. The windows are closed with optical safety glass on a silicone gasket; the luminaire is rated IP65, so it withstands water jets from any direction, and IK08 for impact.

Lifetime and servicing

The manufacturer states an L80 lifetime of over 102,000 hours — after that the modules still deliver 80% of their initial flux. The LED module is replaced by a professional service; Norlys offers service kit ZN2290xx0A09 as the spare part.
