Mantra TARIFA 6072 LED reading wall light 3 W 3000 K, brass finish

Mantra TARIFA 6072 is a reading wall light with a rectangular head and a narrow mounting plate. Its brushed brass-coloured finish is identified by the manufacturer as Cuero. That is a finish designation, not a claim that the body is solid brass: the specified construction combines iron and aluminium. A black switch sits on the front of the wall plate.

A local light for the page

The integrated LED is rated at 3 W and 210 lm, with a warm-white colour temperature of 3000 K. Its directional format and the manufacturer's reading-light designation make this a local light to position around a book, rather than the only light for an entire room. Choose the mounting point around your normal seated or reclining position.

The assembly instructions show that the head can be positioned relative to the mounting plate. Before fixing it to the wall, compare the position of the book with the intended lighting point. The product page does not specify a movement range in degrees, so a full rotation or unrestricted beam reach should not be assumed.

Switching at the fixture

An ON/OFF switch is built into the light. When deciding its mounting height, check whether you can reach the switch from your usual reading position. TARIFA is not dimmable: this control switches the light on and off rather than adjusting brightness. The LED is included, so there is no separate screw-in or push-fit bulb to buy.

Allow room for the head

The mounting plate is 15 cm high and 6 cm wide. The technical drawing shows a projection of 12.5 cm and a head length of 11 cm. Compare these measurements with the headboard, armchair and nearby furniture so the positioned head does not meet an obstruction. This is a wall-mounted, wired fixture for a 220–240 V installation, not a plug-in lamp standing on a bedside table.

The straight-sided forms and absence of a decorative shade support a modern, minimalist style. TARIFA can serve a bedside reading position in a bedroom or hotel room, or a reading seat in a living room or study. Those uses follow from its reading function, directional light and local switch, rather than merely from the room shown in a styled photograph.
