Mercedes Wall Sconce, Oiled Oak/Matte Nickel, Cream and Silver Shade, 1xE27, 25 cm

Brinova's MERCEDES wall light 2017400111525 combines a vertical oiled-oak wall plate, a metal arm in matte nickel and a cream-and-silver jacquard fabric shade. The rounded shade outline and visible wood grain distinguish this version from fittings with a smooth, single-colour glass cover.

Allow for the whole fitting

The light is 30 cm high overall. The manufacturer also lists a width of 22 cm and a length of 25 cm. The shade itself measures 25 × 17 cm and is 16.5 cm high: the 25 cm figure should not be read as the diameter of a circular shade. Compare the complete outline with the space beside your furniture, rather than measuring only the wooden wall plate.

This is a screw-mounted wall fitting, so it does not occupy a bedside table or sideboard surface. It still projects into the room, however. In a hallway or corridor, take account of the walking route and the swing of nearby doors when deciding its position.

Choose one E27 bulb separately

The fitting takes one E27 bulb rated at no more than 40 W. A bulb is not supplied. Check the cap type, power limit and space inside the shade when choosing a replacement light source. Both colour temperature and luminous flux depend on that bulb; the cream fabric does not establish a fixed light colour.

This version has no additional switch on the fitting. The manufacturer specifies that it is not dimmable, so it should not be selected as a wall light with a built-in brightness control. Plan how it will be operated alongside its position.

Oak and woven texture in a room scheme

The simple metal arm and textile shade suit modern and modern-classic interiors. It can provide an additional light point in a living room, bedroom, dining room or study, including a hotel bedroom. It is not an adjustable-arm fitting for precisely aimed light. When combining it with other MERCEDES lights, compare the base finish and shade reference A1525: the family name alone does not identify the same finish or shade.
