Norlys Asker Pole Pro 5165AL aluminium garden lamp post LED 8.5 W 4000 K DALI 236 cm

Asker Pole Pro 5165AL is a 236 cm garden lamp post made from a single extruded aluminium profile, powder-coated in aluminium colour (RAL 9006). At the top the profile turns into a 39 cm horizontal arm ending in a flat, 11 cm wide head with a downward-facing lens.

What light it gives

The luminaire delivers 1140 lm at 8.5 W, or 134 lm/W. The Ledil VSM lens gives an IESNA Type V distribution — wide and even, spreading light around the post rather than in a narrow strip. The manufacturer calculated the photometry for a 2.5 m mounting height. A ULOR of 1% means almost nothing shines upwards.

4000 K is neutral white. CRI 70 and SDCM5 are typical of path and site lighting: enough for orientation and safe walking, though colours are rendered less faithfully than under interior lighting.

DALI-2 control and light source

This is the version with a DALI-2 driver and NightDim function: the driver is factory-set to maximum current, and the manufacturer programmes other parameters by arrangement. DALI needs a DALI bus and controller — the post will not work on an ordinary phase dimmer. The LED module (Philips Fortimo) and driver are built in and replaceable by a professional service only; the manufacturer rates the LED at over 100,000 h to 90% flux and the driver at 100,000 h.

Installation and delivery

The post stands on a base plate with four ø12 mm holes on a 200 × 200 mm pattern. The 117GA0009 ground anchor is sold separately. The terminals take conductors up to 5 × 4 mm², or 5 × 2.5 mm² when looping through, and the gland a round cable of 4–8, 8–12 or 10–13.6 mm. Installation is for a qualified electrician.

IP65 means dust-tight and protected against water jets, IK08 an impact-resistant housing, and protection class I requires an earth conductor. The post weighs 11 kg and ships in a 240 cm long package, worth planning for when taking delivery. The manufacturer intends it for private grounds and parks, including hotel and restaurant surroundings.
