The Nowodvorski TURDA 8953 is a flush ceiling light with a shallow, circular fabric shade. Its textured grey sides surround a white lower cover, with fabric, plastic and painted steel used in the construction. This is the 50 cm version with three E27 sockets, rather than one of the larger fittings in the TURDA family.
A broad shade that stays close to the ceiling
The fitting is 13 cm high and mounts directly to the ceiling without a hanging suspension. Its low profile is useful when choosing between a flush light and a pendant, but the shade still occupies a 50 cm circle. Compare that diameter with the available ceiling area, nearby fittings and any furniture extending towards the ceiling before selecting its position.
Choose three replaceable LED bulbs
TURDA takes three E27 LED bulbs, each rated at no more than 15 W. Bulbs are not included. That wattage is the permitted limit for each bulb, not a stated light output for the fitting. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulbs you purchase, so use their lumen and colour-temperature information when planning the room's lighting.
The white lower cover conceals a direct view of the bulbs. The manufacturer's illuminated photograph also shows light above the shade's upper edge. It illustrates the appearance in use without establishing a fixed colour temperature for this replaceable-bulb light.
Fabric texture rather than decorative ornament
The plain drum shape and grey-and-white finish suit modern and minimalist interiors. It can be considered for general ceiling lighting in a living room, bedroom, dining area or hallway. In a study, general room lighting should be considered separately from illumination directed at a desk.
Installation and what to order
The light connects to a 220–230 V supply. The assembly instructions require fixings suitable for the mounting surface and electrical connection by an appropriately qualified person. The package contains the fitting and instructions; allow separately for three compatible E27 LED bulbs.
