SIMONA PND-40814-5-HBR is a gold bar 85 cm long, carrying five clear faceted glass shades at even spacing beneath it. The manufacturer describes them as crystal — the cut breaks the bulb’s light into fine reflections that the lit fitting scatters across the table and the ceiling.
Two materials, two jobs
The structure is steel in a gold finish: a rectangular canopy, a flat bar, and the rings of the lampholders. Glass appears only where it has work to do — on the five shades. That division makes the fitting read, switched off, as a quiet gold line with five glass accents rather than as a chandelier; the glamour only switches on with the light.
An over-table format
85 cm long and only 10 cm wide is a proportion designed for a surface — a rectangular dining table or a kitchen island. Five points spread along that length light the whole area evenly, without the bright centre and dark ends a single pendant produces. The manufacturer also names the living room, the bedroom and the study.
Hanging height
The bar hangs on two thin steel cables with the black supply cord running alongside. The overall height is 110 cm, measured from ceiling to the bottom edge of the shades — the fitting itself is 15 cm and the rest is suspension. When planning an installation over a table, that is the figure that decides how much room is left above the surface.
Light sources
The fitting has five E14 sockets and is supplied without bulbs — they are chosen separately. Maximum power per lamp is 40 W. The manufacturer confirms it is dimmable, but only with lamps rated for dimmer operation; an ordinary LED bulb without that marking will flicker or simply not work. Because the glass is clear the bulb’s shape stays visible — a candle or golf-ball lamp with a frosted envelope suits it better than a long stick with exposed diodes.
Variants and installation
The same SIMONA is also made in black (PND-40814-5-BK-HBR) and as a longer six-light bar — gold PND-40814-6-HBR and black PND-40814-6-BK-HBR. Supply 220–240 V, hard-wired to a ceiling box. IP20 protection confines it to dry interiors. Manufacturer’s warranty: 2 years.
