Argon MITOS 909 is a black wall light built around a slender, vertical cylinder of painted steel. Its textured finish and rectangular wall mount create a restrained outline. Two GU10 light sources direct light upwards and downwards, making this a wall-lighting accent rather than a spotlight with an adjustable head.
Choose two lamps for the upward and downward light
Light sources are not supplied. The fitting needs two GU10 LED lamps, each rated at no more than 5 W. The installation manual also limits their diameter to 51 mm and their height to 57 mm. Check these dimensions as well as the cap type when buying lamps: the selected sources must fit inside the cylindrical housing.
Light colour, brightness and beam spread depend on the lamps you choose. The warm light in the photograph does not establish a built-in colour temperature. Dimming requires dimmable light sources and a compatible dimmer; the fitting has no built-in dimming control. In the standard configuration, both light sources switch on together.
Wall space and connection
The body is 18 cm high, with an overall fitting width of 5.5 cm and a depth of 8.5 cm. Before mounting, compare its projection from the wall with nearby doors and furniture. The manual specifies wall mounting and a 230 V mains connection with a protective conductor. Power must be switched off during installation.
The upward and downward light can form a supplementary accent in a living room, bedroom, entrance hall or corridor. The manufacturer also identifies stairs as an application. Lighting the wall does not automatically provide reading or task light, so position the fitting as part of the overall lighting plan.
A textured black cylinder
The slim cylinder has no ornamental additions and suits modern, minimalist interiors. Its textured black surface emphasizes the outline. The narrow width lets it work as a single vertical detail or as a repeated element along a longer wall. Article 909 is the textured black version in the MITOS family.
