Arden LED wall light - 2 light sources - Brushed Gold Elstead

The two-light Arden is an LED wall light by Alora Mood that shines up and down at the same time. A vertical ribbed stem in brushed gold is set in the middle of a round backplate, with an opal glass globe under a perforated half-dome at each end. It is distributed by Elstead Lighting.

Size: a tall light for a wall surface

At 57.2 cm high it is more than twice as tall as it is wide (15.2 cm), and it projects 17.8 cm from the wall. When planning, mark that height on the wall: the top globe sits almost 30 cm above the connection point and the bottom one the same distance below. It weighs 0.86 kg.

Class II means double insulation, so no earth conductor is required.

Up-and-down light

Each globe holds an integrated LED source — around 13 W in total according to the manufacturer. 3000 K is a warm white, and CRI 93 keeps colours accurate. The light goes two ways: the upper globe lifts the wall and ceiling above the fitting, the lower one the wall and floor beneath, drawing a vertical band of light on the wall.

The LED is built in, needs no bulbs and cannot be replaced by the user. The manufacturer lists it as dimmable.

Finish and intended use

The aluminium and steel body has a brushed gold finish with a matt metallic sheen. The half-domes are decorative — the manufacturer also allows the globes to be left bare. It is a modern fitting intended for hallways and corridors, bedrooms, kitchens and dining rooms.
