Jupiter CERES 1883 black and gold wall light, glass shade, 1×E27

Jupiter CERES 1883 is a wall light combining a clear cylindrical shade with a black and gold fitting. The glass leaves the bulb and gold-coloured lampholder cover visible, while a curved black arm connects the shade to a round wall plate. Steel and glass form the construction of this CERES family fitting.

A narrow fitting with an 18 cm projection

The complete light measures 31 cm high, 12 cm wide and 18 cm deep. Its small width is only part of the placement decision: check the projection from the wall as well, particularly beside a doorway, along a passage or above furniture. These measurements refer to the whole fitting rather than the glass shade alone.

Use it as supplementary wall lighting in a living room, dining room or bedroom. A hallway or corridor is another possible setting, provided there is enough clearance around the projecting shade. This is a wall-mounted fitting, not a pendant or chandelier; the circular plate belongs against the wall.

Choose one E27 bulb separately

CERES takes one replaceable E27 light source. Jupiter specifies a maximum of 15 W and a 230 V supply. No bulb is included, so select a separate source within that power limit. Brightness and colour temperature will depend on the bulb you choose, rather than being fixed characteristics of the fitting.

Clear glass keeps the bulb in view even when the light is switched off. Its appearance therefore matters alongside its lighting specifications. The illuminated bulb in the product photograph illustrates the look of the fitting; it does not indicate that a bulb comes in the package.

Black and gold details

The black arm and wall-plate face contrast with gold-coloured details beneath the glass and around the plate. The simple cylindrical shape supports the modern style identified by the manufacturer. CERES is intended for indoor use and carries an IP20 rating. Jupiter lists a five-year guarantee for this light.
