s.luce Orb Copper Glass Pendant Light, 20 cm, Round, Minimalist

s.luce Orb is a single pendant light with a glass globe measuring 20 cm in diameter and a black suspension. The copper tone at the top of the shade fades into clear glass. The bulb remains visible and contributes to the fitting's appearance.

Five metres for a tall interior

This version has a maximum suspension of 500 cm. Its long black cord allows the shade to hang lower in a tall room, above a staircase or within an open mezzanine space. The manufacturer also recommends Orb for tall entrance areas and foyers. The slender suspension leads the eye from the ceiling to a single light point, making use of the room's height.

The cord can be shortened during installation. A mechanism in the canopy allows small corrections to the suspension length, making it easier to refine the globe's position. Three metal rods support the glass shade around its upper opening.

Choose an E27 bulb to fit the globe

The fitting has one E27 socket for a bulb rated at up to 40 W. The light source is purchased separately, allowing brightness and light colour to be selected for a living room, dining area or table. For the 20 cm globe, the manufacturer specifies a maximum bulb diameter of 8.5 cm. Check this dimension so the bulb can pass through the glass opening. A decorative bulb shape can also enhance the clear part of the shade. Brightness adjustment requires a suitable dimmable bulb and a compatible dimmer.

Handblown glass

The spherical shade combines a simple form with a decorative colour transition. Orb can hang alone or be repeated in a layout of separately positioned pendants. The removable glass makes cleaning easier: the manufacturer recommends lukewarm water and a mild cleaning agent. Dry the shade thoroughly before refitting it.
