Schöner Wohnen POSH 15696-15 LED wall and ceiling light, grey, smoked glass, Ø22 cm

POSH 15696-15 from the Schöner Wohnen collection is a circular LED light designed for either wall or ceiling mounting. Its smoked-glass shade surrounds a central disc, with the grey finish visible through the glass. When switched on, it highlights the concentric arrangement rather than an exposed conventional bulb.

A 22 cm circle for wall or ceiling

The glass shade measures 22 cm across and the fitting is 11 cm high. Mounted on a wall, that height becomes its projection into the room, so compare it with the available clearance beside furniture or along a passage. On a ceiling, the same fitting sits close to the mounting surface without a hanging cable.

The manufacturer lists living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, dining rooms, kitchens and home offices as applications. POSH can provide decorative supplementary light in these settings. Its complete luminaire output is 300 lm; when planning a larger room, account for other light sources rather than relying on this single fitting to provide all the illumination.

Dimming through a normal light switch

The integrated LED module produces warm-white light at 3000 K. SimplyDim provides continuous adjustment between 100% and 10% brightness through a conventional light switch. It uses the switching sequences shown in the instructions, while the memory function retains the last setting until you change it again.

There is no separate screw-in bulb to choose. The LED module is rated at 7.4 W, while the complete fitting consumes 10 W. Two light-output figures also need to be distinguished: the source delivers 1400 lm, but the assembled luminaire delivers 300 lm. Use the latter figure when assessing the light that will reach the room.

Smoked glass with individual variation

The layered circles and transparent tinted shade combine a contemporary construction with a retro visual character. The glass is made by hand, so slight irregularities can differ between pieces. This matters when arranging several fittings together: their glass surfaces need not look perfectly identical, even though they share the same design.
