Argon FLAVIO 1413 ceiling light, brass with 3 white opal glass globes, 3xE14 IP44, 34 cm

FLAVIO 1413 is a flush ceiling light with three matt opal glass globes set beneath a round brass-finish canopy. The body is brass-plated steel, and the white globes, 12 cm across, are arranged in a triangle under the disc.

How big it is and how it is mounted

The light measures 34 cm across and 16 cm high, from the ceiling to the bottom of the globes. The canopy itself is 30 cm in diameter and 3 cm deep. There is no drop — the fitting stays against the ceiling — so 16 cm is the figure to compare with your own room height, including a low hallway.

The canopy fits onto a mounting bar screwed to the ceiling, and the globes go on last, after the bulbs are in. The light weighs 1.5 kg. It is protection class I, which means it must be connected to an earth conductor — the wiring at the mounting point needs to provide one.

Which bulbs fit and what light it gives

FLAVIO 1413 takes three E14 bulbs, which are not included. The installation card permits LED sources only, up to 7 W per socket, and gives the maximum bulb size: 45 mm in diameter and 80 mm long. Small golf-ball bulbs fit within that — check the bulb length on the packaging before buying.

Matt opal glass diffuses the light, so the bulb does not show as a bright spot and each globe glows evenly across its whole surface. The colour of the light depends on the bulb you choose: 2700–3000 K is warm, 4000 K neutral. The manufacturer marks the fitting as dimmable on its installation card — that needs dimmable LED bulbs and a dimmer.

Where it works

IP44 means protection against water splashing from any direction, so the light can also be fitted in a bathroom. It suits a living room, bedroom, dining room and hallway too. The form is modern and restrained: smooth globes, polished brass and white glass, with no ornament.

The FLAVIO series also includes a version with three globes on a straight 60 cm bar (FLAVIO 1414) and a single-globe fitting (FLAVIO 4004), so one look can carry through several rooms.
