Argon AMORE 7040 black and gold flush ceiling light 2×E27 Ø25 cm

Argon AMORE 7040 is a round flush ceiling light with a textured black painted-steel body and a glass diffuser. A narrow gold-coloured band runs around the housing. The pale glass surface dominates the view from below, while the black and gold contrast becomes more visible from the side.

A 25 cm fitting with no hanging shade

This small version measures 250 mm across in both directions and projects 80 mm from the ceiling. It mounts directly overhead, without a suspended cable or hanging shade. Compare that diameter with the intended ceiling position before choosing: article 7040 is the small AMORE, not one of the larger fittings in the collection.

The manufacturer identifies living rooms, studies, entrance halls and corridors as possible settings, as well as kitchens and bedrooms. Its shallow body is relevant where you do not want a pendant. The fitting's diameter does not, however, establish the size of room it can illuminate. Your chosen bulbs and the room layout also need to be considered when planning general lighting.

Check bulb size as well as the E27 base

There are two E27 sockets inside, and bulbs must be purchased separately. The maximum permitted power is 15 W per bulb. The assembly instructions also specify a maximum bulb diameter of 50 mm and length of 105 mm. A matching screw base alone therefore does not guarantee that a bulb will fit beneath the glass cover.

Choose the light colour and brightness through your bulbs. Dimming requires dimmable LED bulbs and a compatible dimmer; there is no built-in dimmer in the fitting. Both bulbs switch on together in the standard configuration. Connection to the 230 V supply requires the protective earth conductor to be connected as shown in the instructions.

A restrained shape with a gold line

The flat circular body and limited detailing work with modern or minimalist furnishings and can also sit alongside a classical interior. The gold-coloured stripe accents the black perimeter rather than covering the whole lamp in a gold finish.
