EYE SUPER VI is a ceiling light built from six rigid arms of differing lengths, springing from a single ceiling rail. Each arm ends in a slim, swivelling spot 20 cm long and 5.5 cm across. The effect is closer to a sculpture than to an ordinary spot bar: light comes from six separate points, and the structure draws a regular but not rigid pattern across the ceiling.

A spread from 60 to 192 cm

The arms adjust, so the fitting occupies between 60 and 192 cm in length and 90 to 95 cm in width. That is a useful range: over a narrow table the spots can be drawn in, over a large surface fanned out to almost two metres. The height is 60 cm and fixed — the manufacturer does not provide for shortening or extending the drop, so it is worth checking against a low ceiling before buying. The ceiling plate measures 60 x 8 cm at just 2.5 cm deep, covering a standard back box without standing proud.

Two switched sections, split 3/3

This is the most important detail of the model and it rarely reaches a product description: the six light points are divided into two independent sections of three spots each. Wired to a two-gang switch they give two brightness levels with no dimmer at all — three points for dinner, six for cleaning or working at the table. If only one switched live reaches the back box, both sections come on together and that option is lost, so plan the wiring before installation.

Six GU10 R50 sockets — lamps bought separately

The fitting has six GU10 sockets in the standard R50 (50 mm) size and ships without lamps. The manufacturer allows a maximum of 10 W per socket and specifies LED only — a classic 35 or 50 W halogen GU10 is ruled out, because in a closed, narrow tube it would give off far too much heat. As the lamps are replaceable, the colour temperature of the whole fitting can be changed later without replacing it.

Installation

The fitting mounts on a bracket bridge and is Class I, so it needs an earth conductor. No mounting kit is supplied — plugs and screws are chosen to suit the ceiling, and at 8.13 kg with a 60 cm plate, plasterboard demands anchoring into a supporting stud or into the ceiling structure itself. IP20 places the fitting in dry rooms.

Finish

The body is painted steel with chrome details, in black from the house range P013 RAL 9005 — a deep matt black with no graphite cast, which matters if the fitting has to sit alongside joinery or handles in the same RAL.
