MERA 1539 by Keter Lighting is a two-light ceiling fitting with smoked-glass shades. Its black metal frame has gold accents around the lamp holders, while curved black rods form an open decorative structure around the top of each shade. The two shades sit in a straight line beneath a rectangular ceiling plate rather than hanging from long cables.

Check the footprint and ceiling clearance

The fitting measures 50 cm long, 15 cm wide and 31 cm high. Compare that elongated footprint with the available ceiling area, particularly when positioning it in a hallway or above a table. Its 31 cm height places the shades below the ceiling surface, so check the clearance remaining underneath at your intended mounting position.

This is the ceiling-mounted version of the MERA family, with short vertical supports joining the shades to the ceiling plate. It is worth considering when you want a decorative ceiling light without a long pendant drop, but not a flat flush fitting.

Choose two separate E27 bulbs

The light has two E27 sockets and comes without light sources. You therefore need two compatible bulbs before using it. Brightness and colour temperature depend on the bulbs you choose; the black-and-gold finish does not specify either of those lighting characteristics.

The bulbs remain visible through the smoked glass, making their appearance part of the composition. Decorative bulbs shown in the photograph are not an indication that they are supplied. Check both the cap type and the bulb shape against the shade when making your selection.
