Quintiesse Ashland Bay flush ceiling light 2 × E27, natural brass, IP44

Quintiesse Ashland Bay is a round flush ceiling light with two E27 sockets, a steel frame finished in natural brass and clear seeded glass. Two metal rings joined by upright supports enclose the glass shade, giving the fitting a nautical, vintage-inspired appearance. This is the QN-ASHLANDBAY-F-NBR-BATH version, rather than the polished chrome option in the same collection.

A 30.5 cm fitting without a pendant drop

The fitting measures 305 mm across and 154 mm high. It sits directly against the ceiling rather than hanging from a cable, so allow for its fixed height when planning the installation. There is no adjustable pendant drop. This format introduces decorative glass where a suspended light is not wanted. Before ordering, compare both dimensions with the available space and the position of the electrical outlet.

Choose two bulbs separately

Bulbs are not included. The two E27 sockets let you select the light colour and brightness through your choice of compatible lamps. The warm glow shown in the photographs does not indicate a built-in LED module or a fixed colour temperature. The manufacturer specifies a maximum wattage of 60 W; follow the fitting's markings when selecting your bulbs.

Clear glass leaves the lamps visible, so their shape contributes to the appearance as well as the light they produce. Dimming requires suitable dimmable bulbs and compatible control equipment. An E27 base alone does not mean that every bulb fitted can be dimmed.

Bathroom use and vintage detailing

The manufacturer specifies this version for interiors, including bathrooms, with an IP44 rating. Its precise bathroom position must still meet the requirements of the electrical installation; this is not permission to install it anywhere beside water. In a hallway, corridor, bedroom or living room, it can provide ceiling lighting without being presented as a directional reading lamp.

The brass finish, exposed supports and bubble-textured glass support classic, retro and vintage interiors. The seeded surface remains visible when the light is off, so the shade retains its decorative detail independently of the bulbs selected.
