Sigma Sopel 33216 – a white wall spotlight in a slim tube

Sopel 33216 is a compact wall fitting built around a precise, all-white silhouette. A round wall plate supports a short arm and a long narrow cylinder, allowing the fixture to provide a focused light point without a bulky decorative shade. White lacquered steel can recede against a pale wall or become a crisp graphic element on a stronger colour. Its scale suits a bedside position, reading chair, corridor or a small work surface where local illumination is more useful than another source of general room light.

A movable tube for accurate aiming

Adjustment is the defining feature of this exact version. The cylindrical head tilts through 90 degrees vertically and rotates through as much as 350 degrees. You can direct the beam towards a page, picture, shelf or task area, then change its position when the furniture moves. The product image clearly shows a joint between the tube and its short support; the lamp opening is located at one end of the narrow head. The shade is 15 cm long and only 2.5 cm in diameter.

Hardwired operation without an integral switch

This model connects directly to the mains circuit and does not carry a switch on its body. Control therefore needs to be provided by a wall switch or another part of the installation. When selecting a G9 LED, check its physical dimensions as well as the cap and wattage so that it fits the slender enclosure. Sopel mounts on a bracket behind the wall plate. Plan cable position and mounting height with the full adjustment range in mind, leaving the head free to rotate while directing light to the intended surface. Isolate the supply before work starts and ask a suitably qualified installer to complete the electrical connection.
