Nowodvorski CL KOS LED 8781 recessed downlight, white, 8 W, 4000 K, Ø12 cm

Nowodvorski CL KOS LED 8781 is a white, round plastic downlight designed for recessed installation indoors. A plain rim surrounds its flat illuminated face, with spring clips positioned at the sides of the body. Article 8781 is the 8 W, 4000 K neutral-white version, rather than a larger or warmer-light fitting from the same collection.

Check the fitting size and ceiling cut-out

The outside diameter is 12 cm and the body height is 3.5 cm. Installation requires a circular cut-out measuring 10 cm in diameter. These dimensions serve different purposes: the rim remains visible below the ceiling, while the body enters the opening. Compare the intended position with the manufacturer's drawing before cutting, and check the space above the ceiling for both the fitting and its electrical connection. When replacing an existing downlight, measure the old opening rather than judging compatibility from the visible rim.

Built-in LED and broad light distribution

The LED source is integrated and included, so there is no separate bulb or cap type to choose. The manufacturer specifies 670 lm and a 100° beam angle. That broad distribution is intended to illuminate surfaces beneath the ceiling, rather than replace a narrow spotlight aimed at one object. The number and spacing of fittings should be planned around room size and the required illumination; a single light point cannot automatically be treated as sufficient for an entire room.

Placement and routine care

The restrained white trim complements modern and minimalist ceilings. It can be considered in lighting plans for kitchens, corridors, living spaces and offices. The installation drawing distinguishes IP44 on the room-facing side from IP20 above the ceiling. Bathroom placement must respect that distinction and applicable installation requirements; the rating does not mean the whole fitting is waterproof.

A qualified installer should make the 220–230 V AC connection with the circuit isolated. The package contains the fitting and instructions. The manufacturer recommends a damp cloth for cleaning after switching off and allowing the light to cool. Let the surface dry before switching it on again.
