SLV KALU 147316 wall and ceiling spotlight, brushed aluminium, 2 × GU10 QPAR111

SLV KALU 147316 is a twin-head surface-mounted spotlight for either a wall or a ceiling. Its two circular heads sit on a rectangular base, with brushed aluminium visible across the housing and lamp rings. The exposed technical construction suits modern, minimalist and industrial interiors. This is not a recessed fitting or a version with an integrated LED module.

Directing two separate light points

The heads rotate through 350° and tilt up to 90°, so the two light points can be aimed towards different parts of a room. That makes the fitting an option for highlighting pictures, shelving or shop displays, as well as supplementary lighting in a living room, study or corridor. The actual spread and brightness depend on the lamps you choose; an adjustable head alone does not determine how narrow or wide the beam will be.

The fitting measures 30 cm long, 9 cm wide and 18 cm high. Allow for the projecting heads and their position once adjusted when choosing the mounting location. Surface mounting leaves the rectangular base on the wall or ceiling rather than hiding it in a recessed opening.

Selecting QPAR111 lamps

Two QPAR111 lamps, also known as ES111, with GU10 bases are required and are not included. Each lamp may be rated at up to 75 W, giving a maximum of 150 W in total. This is a lamp limit, not a fixed power consumption. Suitable halogen or LED lamps can be selected. Colour temperature, lumen output and beam angle follow the chosen lamps' specifications. Dimming requires dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer; it is not a built-in control function.

Installation clearances and cleaning

Connection to the 220–240 V supply must be carried out by a qualified electrician. As a Class I fitting, KALU requires a protective earth connection. The manual specifies at least 0.8 m between the light source and the illuminated surface. With halogen lamps, the fitting must be installed at a minimum height of 2.5 m. Disconnect the supply and allow the fitting to cool before replacing lamps or cleaning. Wipe external surfaces with a cloth lightly dampened with water.
